que muchas de ustedes me han preguntado por vestidos largos para chicas “bajitas”
hoy les traigo esta opción: el vestido midi. Y pues cuál es su definición? Cuando
es vestido midi o vestido maxi? Les explico, un vestido maxi va hasta el suelo
(largo completo) y suele taparnos los pies/zapatos dando la ilusión de que
somos altas, mientras que un vestido (o falda) midi, tiene un alto que se
define desde la parte baja de la rodilla hasta media pantorrilla, más bajo que
eso se ve extraño. La diferencia con las prendas midis es que igual alargan la
figura, solo que dejan piel al descubierto. Para este tipo de prendas es
recomendable usar tacos sin tiras para evitar cortar la continuidad de la pierna
y si fuesen nude mejor!
Por mi altura
siempre tengo que arreglar las prendas, sobre todo los largos. Es por eso que
me emocioné cuando encontré este modelo en FIU FIU sin tener que alterarlo. A pesar
que un vestido tipo lápiz me hubiera desanimado en otra ocasión (no tengo mucha
cintura) este tiene un ligero corte en esa zona que nos forma mejor, además de
tener la espalda semi descubierta, yo le agregué el cinturón para remarcar la
cintura y hacerla notar más. Es imposible no sentirnos femeninas y regias en
este vestido, además nos va a servir mucho para la oficina, o para un cocktail,
cumpleaños o hasta alguna presentación formal, ya lo agregué a mi lista de básicos
para el closet, que opinan?

Midi is the length of a dress or skirt that is between the lower knee and the middle calf, anything below that will make an awkward length (unless we are 1.80m models)
Because i am kinda tiny, i usually have to alter my dresses and skirts to make them fit properly. This is why i was so excited to find a pencil dress with the perfect measures! Despite it being a full body con kinda dress (and since i have no waist) i was glad to see there were some smart cuts around the waist to make us look curvier. I would consider this kind of dress a must in our closets since we can pretty much use it for work, a meeting, a birthday party or even a special event at university! What do you think?
